Brandon Philbrick, Building Brand Brix Since 2006
Throughout my past 15+ years as a creative professional, I have sat in many seats and worn many hats. An artist at heart and a graphic designer by trade, taking advantage of every opportunity I could to create. Creation evolved beyond graphic work into strategy, management, UX/UI design, campaign development/execution, online marketing and advertising, and even analytics and data analysis. I have helped develop brands from the ground up and helped put those brands into action. Developing and integrating operating systems, internal procedures, and solid foundations for startup companies to build off of.
The core of my passion is for creating visuals. By fulfilling many different roles and being deeply involved at the heart of these startups I know I can be a valuable asset to those I have the privilege of working with. It is now my goal to become laser-focused on being a visual communicator and creator. Still being able to provide valuable insight on many levels, but honing in on my strengths and passion as a visual artist. Branding, strategy, marketing, or mask-making all require a deep understanding of design. Design is everything and is what moves me.
With that in mind, here are three bodies of work that encompass the scope of my design experience. Each of which I was lucky enough to be able to design from logo to web; from strategy to execution. I was also an integral internal player with these organizations, but I’ll keep this focused on the visuals for today. Want to know more about my work history?
When the livelihood of two DJ’s was threatened in 2020 they stepped up and created a slick new version of music Bingo that could be played virtually. Having previously worked with the founder on album art and branding his DJ business I had the opportunity to develop this brand from the ground up.
The first iterations of the brand had a dark and sexy club-style feel to them, and in its second year, we decided to brighten things up a bit to match the energy and positivity we were getting from players.
When Jindo began the games required a very hands-on approach and many different tools and software. What you see in the designs shown here is the most recent version of the UI/UX design which takes the creation and playing of the game completely mobile.

BrightLeaf is where I had my first completely in-house experience; living, breathing, and evolving the brand while working remotely and traveling monthly to meet with the team in Chicago. I worked with them years ago at a previous job and was an integral part of kick-starting their brand. With the results of their new website and inbound marketing strategy, we received a Hubspot Impact Award for web design.

American Made Kendamas was a sister brand of Glacial Wood of which I had also done some branding, design, and strategy work. I personally love this logo to this day because it captures the classic feel of Americana while incorporating the precision of the craftsmanship and angles of the Kendama itself. Although this brand didn’t take off I’m still proud of the design work I was able to do with AMK & Glacial and can now do a few tricks with my own Kendama.
